KARACHI: Chief of Naval Staff of the Pakistan Navy Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah on Saturday said that Pakistan is peace loving country and wants harmonious and peaceful coexistence with neighbours.
“Our security forces will continue efforts to maintain peace and stability in (South Asian) region,” he said while addressing a passing out parade of 105th Midshipmen Commissioning and 14th Short Service Commission course of the Pakistan Navy here.
Addressing the ceremony, Admiral Zakaullah said that eradication of terrorism would bring progress and prosperity to the region. He said that the personnel were ready to face any competition. Reiterating national resolve against terrorism, he said Pakistan would be purged of menace of terrorism.
He appreciated the training standard at the Pakistan Navy Academy and vowed to maintain the level further. The passing-out cadets also include 60 foreigners while the attendees also lauded the ceremony.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Pakistan Navy is providing training to cadets of 10 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, Libya, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Turkmenistan.
