ISLAMABAD – Withholding Tax (WHT) on banking transaction is being increased from 0.3 to 0.4 per cent from Tuesday.
This was announced by Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Ishaq Dar while talking to newsmen after meeting representatives of the business community in Islamabad.
He also announced extension of last date for filing of tax returns by 15th of next month. He urged businessmen to take advantage of the tax compliance scheme. He said the scheme is aimed at increasing the tax net.
