ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday asked the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to ensure 24-hour operation of Automated Teller Machines (ATM) service by the banks to facilitate customers during the Eid holidays.
The finance minister, during a meeting with SBP Deputy Governor Saeed Ahmad, said that sufficient cash must be kept available in all the ATMs to facilitate people and save them from any inconvenience.
Taking notice of media reports regarding long holidays during Eid, the minister conveyed his concern to the deputy governor and urged that people must be provided full facilities to draw money from banks.
He also said that all the staff must do their job actively and stressed for ensuring their presence on the concerned counters to execute the operations smoothly.
